PROFILE
Williams Costa Jr.
Williams Costa Jr was born in Recife, Brazil. He finished three college programs in music in Brazil. In 1976 he graduated from Andrews University with a Master's Degree program in Music History and Composition. He was the founder and Director of the Sao Paulo Media Center (1987-90). In 1991 he was called to work for the Voice of Prophecy Radio Ministry in Brazil. He also worked with "It is Written" in Portuguese. From 1994-98 he was associate Director for "It Is Written" Brazil, and in 1998 he was called to be the WHAST Director (Western Hemisphere Adventist Satellite Television). In the following years, WHAST became ADSAT, then Novo Tempo. In 2005, he was called to be the South America Division communication director. After two years he came to the US as the associate Director for the Adventist Church's Communication Department. Since 2010 he has served the Adventist World Church as the Communication Director.
Sam Neves
Pastor Sam Neves serves as the Associate Director of Communication of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. His main responsibilities are branding and digital evangelism for the world church. He was born in Brazil and moved to England as a teenager, where he later served as a local church pastor for 11 years. Today he lives in Silver Spring, MD, in the United States with his wife, Amy and their 3 boys.
Richard Stephenson
Richard Stephenson started working for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 1998, serving as Chaplain and Campus Pastor for Madison Academy in Nashville, TN. In 2005 he accepted the call as Director of IT for Madison Academy and later Director of IT for the Kentucky-Tennessee Conference. Richard placed a significant emphasis on Educational Technology for the dozens of schools in the conference. He later transitioned to the Southern Union Conference where he served for 10 years. In 2018 Richard accepted the call to serve as Director of IT Services for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America. In June 2022 Richard was elected at the General Conference Session in St. Louis to serve as Associate Treasurer of the General Conference, where his portfolio includes Technology Strategy, and Operations, serving in the capacity of Chief Information Officer. Richard loves to integrate technology into the Church in a way that sustains and strengthens Mission. More than this, Richard loves the Lord, and has a heart for ministry.
YoHan Kim
Dr. Yo Han Kim is the president of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division of Seventh-day Adventists.
The executive committee of the Seventh-day Adventist church during 61st General Conference Session, which convened in the morning of the 8th of June, 2022 elected Dr. Kim as the new spiritual leader of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division.
Born on August 24, 1959, he began his pastoral ministry at West Cheonan Church of the Middle-west Korean Conference in 1991. While pastoring at Jeongsan Church in 1996, he was called to serve at the 1000 Missionary Movement Training Center and has served both as an associate director and as a director for 10 years.
He then returned to Korea and served as a director of general affairs at Sahmyook Health University. After his service at Junggok Church in the East Central Korean Conference, he was sent by Sahmyook University to serve as an overseas missionary in Uganda from March of 2013 to February of 2015.
Upon returning to Korea, he devoted himself to local church work at Gangneung Central Church and then in the following year, he was appointed as the president of the Mongolian Mission by the Northern Asia-Pacific Division in order to spread the Three Angels' Messages to the “Land of Chinggis Khaan.”
Before he was elected as the NSD president, he served as the Assistant to the NSD President for General Affairs, Director of Adventist Mission and Pioneer Mission Movement since June 2021.
Dr. Kim holds a Doctor of Preventive Health Care from the Adventist Universtiy of the Philippines (AUP).
Justin Kim
Elder Justin Kim serves as the editor for Adventist Review and Adventist World at the world headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He has served as a foreign missionary, an ordained pastor, and director of multiple departments, most recently being the General Conference Associate Director of Sabbath School & Personal Ministries. Pr. Kim graduated from a Catholic secondary school; majored in sociology and biology at the Jewish-sponsored Brandeis University; studied theology and pastoral ministry at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary; preached in about 30 countries; and is a friend of books and an enemy of cilantro/coriander. He was the co-founder of GYC, the creator of the young adult Sabbath School inVerse Bible Study Guide, and currently hosts the inVerse program on Hope Channel (hopetv.org). He and his wife Rachel have two sons.
Vyacheslav Demyan
Vyacheslav Demyan is Vice President for Hope Channel International. He completed his Bachelor's degree in theology at Bogenhofen Seminary in Austria and served as pastor and Evangelist. In 2008 he was called to establish Hope Channel Ukraine, where he dedicated 11 years of service and successfully positioned it as the leading Christian channel in the country. Being passionate about mission and innovation, his master's and doctoral studies are focused on missiology and contextualization.
ChanMin Chung
Dr. ChanMin Chung is a media professional and cross-cultural leader with over twenty years of experience in media engagement and gospel communication for industry and mission fields. He was born into a Buddhist family in South Korea and served as a missionary in the Middle East and North Africa for 12 years. He completed his M.A. in Islamic Studies from the Middle East University in Lebanon and later received a doctorate in missiology from Fuller Theological Seminary. His research focuses on the missiological implications of society, culture, and technology. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Television Distribution for Hope Channel International, he leads with a deep commitment to sharing hope around the world.
SoonGi Kang
Elder Soongi Kang serves as the president of Korean Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church since 2020. He has served as a pathfinder director, SS&PM director, Advent Mission director, associate secretary of Ministerial Association, Local Conference president of East Central Korean Conference and also as a local church pastor since 1990. He was born in Korea and married with Jinhee Shin and has two children, Minsuk and Minkyung and has three grand children Yijoon, Yiel, Yireh.
JooHee Park
Dr. Park Joo-hee is the president of Sahmyook Health University.
Dr. Park was elected as the new leader of Sahmyook Health University at a board meeting of the school corporation convened on the morning of July 21, 2023.
Born on June 20, 1970, he was appointed as a professor of medical information in 2002 and began teaching. While serving as a professor for 21 years, he was involved with the head of the department, the head of the student support department, the head of the industry-academic cooperation group, and the head of the planning department. He also performs a church elder at the University Church.
In addition to internal university activities, he also carried out various external activities, serving as the sixth president of the Korean Higher Vocational Education Association and the 10th president of the Korean Council of Professional University Planning.
In particular, the education community established the world's first metaverse education platform, and established the ESG Innovation Headquarters at universities to take the lead in participating in global environmental protection activities.
Dr. Park received a doctorate in engineering from Kwangwoon University.
Karen Glassford
Karen Glassford, the Digital Evangelism Manager for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, leads online evangelistic pastoral care initiatives for the Adventist Church. She has a BA in theology and is currently taking graduate studies in Leadership. Her experience includes digital and traditional evangelism, mentorship of teens and young adults, leading mission trips, and online pastoral care. Prior to her current position in the communication department of the General Conference, she worked for Adventist World Radio, the Institute of World Mission, Southern Adventist University, and the Arizona Conference.
Heshbon Buscato
Born to and raised by faithful Adventist parents in Oroquieta City, Pastor Heshbon Buscato grew up to be a child preacher in his primary years. Since then, he dreamed to be a pastor and later finished a degree in Theology at Mountain View College when he was only 20.
His more than 20 years of serving the church includes experiences that equipped him for later. He has served as lay pastor, church and district pastor of Western Mindanao Conference and Zamboanga Peninsula Mission, and as Editorial Assistant of Philippine Publishing House in Beasa, Caloocan City.
In 2009, he was called to the South Philippine Union Conference to serve as the associate director for the 1000 Missionary Movement and later as Youth/AMiCUS director. He also served as the Communication/PARL Director and as Executive Secretary of the union.
Currently, he is the Communication and Media Ministries director of Southern Asia-Pacific Division.
He is married to Lovelea Apple, a registered nurse, and they have only one son, Rocky.
Ramesh Jadhav
Ramesh Y Jadhav is the director of the Communication and Adventist Chaplaincy Ministries departments and is the Prayer Coordinator at Southern Asia Division headquarters, India.
He is from Maharashtra, India, and has previously served as the President of Western India Union, director for Global Mission and coordinator for the study centre for Hinduism at Southern Asia Division. He is an ordained minister serving the church for the last 44 years and has a passion for communicating the Gospel to the unreached groups in India. He loves people and likes to serve the underprivileged people.
SeongJun Byun
Pastor SeongJun Byun is the director of the communication department of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD). His Job responsibilities are editor of News & Views magazine, Coordinator of AWR, Hope Channel, Adventist World, Digital Evangelism, and Communication & Leaership Advancement Program.
Pastor Byun obtained a B.A. in Theology from Sahmyook University in 1998. He received an M.A. degree in World Mission from the Graduate School of Sahmyook University in 2003. He is now in Doctor of Missiology program focusing on urban ministry.
He has been actively serving as a preaching evangelist in various countries as China, Korea, Taiwan, Mongolia, and the Philippines. He also has a passion for the Media and Internet ministries for the postmodern people.
SukHee Han
He is currently the president of the Mongolia Mission, which is one of the most challenging fields in terms of mission and evangelism.
He got an M.Div from Shamyook Graduate School in Korea, and While studying at AIIAS in the Philippines, he participated in planning and launching the 1000 Missionary Movement with Dr. JaiRyoung Lee(Former NSD President). He served in Luzon, Philippines, as the first group of 1000MM and was elected as a president of the 1000 MM Alumni Association three times to lay the foundation.
He served as a local churches pastor, chaplain at the SDA Language Institute, Editor of "Church Compass" Korean Union Conference's official magazine in Korean Publishing House, 1000MM Associate Director in the Philippines, Director of the Communication Dept, AWR, Hope Channel, Digital HisHands Mission Movement in NSD, Coordinator of "Adventist World" magazine and Editor of "News & Views" NSD official magazine.
KwangChul Shin
He earned a master's degree in Practical Theology from Sahmyook University, where he received extensive training on church growth strategies. With nine church ministry experience as a local church pastor, he has also served as a local conference director for five years. Currently, he is the Director of SSPM and Mission in the Korean Union Conference. In this role, he oversees various departments, including SSPM, Adventist Mission, VOP, and Communication.
SangYong Lee
With over two decades of experience in the Korean Union Conference, he is a highly skilled media professional with a passion for network programming. He currently leads the digital evangelism department and is known for his polite and professional demeanor in his work to establish a new paradigm for Adventist content. Over the past three years, he has been instrumental in launching digital missionaries and is actively working to establish a Center of Digital Evangelism focused on creating, distributing, and engaging Adventist content.
Alyssa Truman
Alyssa Truman, Assistant Director at the Communication Department of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, is the news director for ANN and the strategist for the Adventist Church's social media accounts and adventist.org. She has globalized these channels, offering content in multiple languages. An advocate for digital evangelism, Alyssa previously served as the General Conference's first digital evangelism manager, creating Adventist Teams to empower members to share faith online. She formerly held the role of Marketing Manager for Adventist World Radio.
Currently, she's pursuing a Masters in Pastoral Ministry from Andrews Theological Seminary, reflecting her deep passion for ministry. Alyssa is happily married to Trent for over 22 years, and a proud mother to her three daughters; Moraya, a digital communications and religion student at Andrews University, and Reily and Ellie, both academy students.
Justin JoungHan Kim
He is in charge of Digital Evangelism Director for Central California Conference and Digital Evangelism Director for NAD Korean Church Association.
Justin JoungHan Kim is a devoted husband to Mina Yang and father to Benjamin and Ryan. He has earned a Master of Divinity from Andrews University and a BA in Theology from Sahmyook University. Currently, Justin serves as the Director of Digital Evangelism for the Central California Conference and NAD Korean Church Association, having previously held roles as Associate Executive Secretary of Central California Conference and Pastor of All Nations Church. His ministry spans youth and young adult ministry in Nashville and involvement in the 1000 Missionary Movement.
Timothy Saxton
Timothy Saxton is an ordained minister, serving as the Director for Adventist World Radio's Southern Asia-Pacific Region. Prior to ministry, he worked more than 27 years in business, entrepreneurship and health-care administration. Later, he served as Vice-President of White Horse Media for six years. He has a passion for digital evangelism and opening new work in difficult areas.
Arnaldo Oliveira
Arnaldo Oliveira holds a Masters Degree in Financial Management and has been working as a freelance project manager for the communication department for nearly five years. His primary focus lies in ANN Video Production, but he also manages adventist.org, ACT, and handles budgeting and contracting for the Digital Evangelism Initiative. Arnaldo's expertise and experience make him a valuable asset in these domains.
Jefferson Nascimento
Master in Design Communication by the University of Lisbon and working as a contractor Project Manager for Heroes: The Bible Trivia Game and Art Director for Social Media at the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
Graduated in higher education with top marks in Social Communication, Advertising and Creation from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, in São Paulo, Brazil - where I was also a scientific researcher. After working at a digital agency, I pursued a freelance career in graphic design, branding and online content management.
Daniel Bogdanov
Daniel Bogdanov is an Assistant Director of the Communication Department at the General Conference, where he leads a team focused on leveraging technology to streamline the department's operations.
A former Android Developer and Technical Project Manager, he brings his practical expertise to bear on the church's technological strategy. Also, he is involved in optimizing access management protocols to secure the churches' digital assets effectively."

Edward Rodriguez
Edward L Rodriguez grew up in the Philippine capital, Manila. For six years, beginning in 2010, he worked for Hope Channel Philippines, where he was assigned as a program producer, scriptwriter, and marketing personnel for the cable headend that carried Hope Channel in various places around the North Philippines.
He was later invited to serve on the Communication team of the South-Central Luzon Conference, which intended to maximize the use of diverse media in proclaiming the Gospel in this unique territory.
Edward then joined SSD's Communication Department as Secretary and Writer in 2017. He was in charge of various communication activities, such as the production of the division publication Outlook, which is now known as Adventist Asia, website updates, video production for multiple Adventist Mission video projects, SSD Communication programs, and more. He is currently serving as the Senior Writer for SSD. He collects articles and scripts for a variety of purposes, including website content and multimedia projects.
He is married to Ruby Ann Rodriguez, and they have both been serving in the Adventist Church's ministry since 2010.
